Healthy Banana Bread Recipe

Most of you know by now that husband and I eat very clean and healthy. You can read a bit about our lifestyle change here.Β We gave up desserts all together but have our ways of eating something “sweet” to fill our sweet cravings while staying on the healthier side of things. This banana bread I came across is the perfect fit for that “healthy” sweet tooth craving since it’s only 106 calories!



1 1/4 cup flour
1Β  teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 egg whites
1 1/2 cup bananas
1/2 cup raw sugar
1/4 cup applesauce
3 teaspoon vanilla


  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. In a larger bowl mix together bananas, egg whites, sugar, applesauce and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until moistened. Pour into sprayed 8x4x2 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 45 to 50 mins until toothpick comes out clean. Cool bread in pan for 10 mins. Remove from pan and enjoy!

Slice and enjoy!

    Thanks for the recipe! just a random question.. do you love your mix master I’m looking at getting one I know there are cheap ones out there but I love this brand is it worth the price tag?

    I don’t think my kitchen has ever smelled so good. I added 1/2 cup extra banana to the recipe, used splenda, and egg substitute. I cannot wait to try a little piece, then bring the rest into work to share! πŸ™‚ Thanks!
