Pattern Making in California

January 25, 2010

It’s been awhile since I have blogged. Things have been so busy, which is a good thing. The collection is coming along beautifully and I can’t wait to show everyone.

This past week I went to California to meet with my new pattern maker, Daniel Magana. Dannie and I went to design school together and have been friends ever since. He is wonderful, so talented. Remember his name because he is going to be big!

With one of my patterns already done here in Austin, Dannie and I worked on the remaining four gowns. They are going to be beautiful! It is so fun to see them come to life from my sketches.

After a week of hard work, late nights, and way to much rain (so glad I got out of that weather!) I am back in Austin and placing orders for all my fabrics and have more interviews this week for seamstresses.

Stay posted on the progress. Have a great day.
